| Elena Lannister, ShinRa Electric Power Company, Turks Department | ||
| ☆ Player Info ☆ •NAME ★ Katie •AGE ★ 21 •TIMEZONE ★ GMT •YIM ★ je_regret_riens •AIM ★ jeregretriens ★ Character Info ★ •NAME ☆ Elena "Angel" Lannister •FANDOM ☆ FFVII •AGE ☆ 20 •SPECIES ☆ Human •GENDER ☆ Female •APPEARANCE ☆ Elena is a five foot tall petite female of what those of us from the real world would call European ancestry. She has yellowy-blonde hair cut in a chin-length bob, and big brown eyes. She usually wears a blue business suit with a man's cut, and that significantly hides her figure and shape--she is a tightly packed bundle of muscle, of the lean and wiry type, though it has significantly hampered the development of womanly curves. •ORIENTATION ☆ 95% straight, though that's iffy where femme-Yazoo is concerned. Her thoughts on her guns is also...questionable. Take that straight where it's headed being in this section and all... •HISTORY ☆ *My Elena is NOT compatable with the prequels.* Elena's training to one day become a Turk began when she was just six years old. Her father was a Turk, the second-in-command of the department, when Elena's elder sister, Rosalinde, was murdered. Rosie had been just eight years old--her death was regarded as an anti-ShinRa scare-tactic murder, though it was never solved. Determined not to lose his now only daughter, Richard began training Elena. First, it was simply impressed upon her to be aware of her surroundings, the people in it, the dangers in it, and a way to a safe place. But it didn't take long for it to morph into a full fledged training regimine. When she turned ten, her father started teaching her in his own Turk specialization--sniping. Unfortunately, when Elena was fourteen, her father was killed in a car-bombing incident. She dissappeared immediately after giving a statement. ShinRa lost track of her for two years. She is very secretive about what happened during that time, and has to date still not revealed to -anyone- where she was or what she had done. The mercenary family that she had seen destroy her father's car had strong ties -to- ShinRa, it made no sense for them to strike against a Turk. She tracked them down, captured a boy her own age from the family, and tortured out of him the name of who had ordered the hit. The order had come from within ShinRa--a bit of corruption amongst the executives that included a pedophile ring hiding within ShinRa's walls. Most of it had been tacitly condoned by the president himself, and it was overseen by the man that had been heading the Turks department when Richard was killed. Richard had been looking into his elder daughter's death the entire time, and he had finally found enough evidence to expose Veld as the man who had kidnapped and murdered his daughter. To protect himself, and the countless other executives, Veld ordered the hit on Richard, and used outside mercenaries to make it look like an anti-ShinRa hit. It took her a year of planning, training, and calculating, but Elena finally managed to kill Veld. She returned to ShinRa during the aftermath of the incident, and told Tseng only enough parts to make him willing to cover for her and accept her into the department. Her fierce loyalty to ShinRa is due to her father's same loyalty, and her loyalty to and trust of Tseng. She was in training for a year, though most of it was simply 'topping up' what her father had taught her, and then she was promoted while Reno was injured in the Sector Seven Plate Incident. In the wake of the destruction of ShinRa, she fled to Healin with Rufus and the other Turks. Life passed relatively quietly there, simply doing bodyguard work for Rufus, and frequently doubling as his secretary. When Rufus told the Turks they would be going to the Northern Crater for a reconnaissance mission, Elena was grateful for the bit of excitement. Unfortunately, there she and Tseng were captured by Yazoo, Kadaj, and Loz. The three remnants tortured Elena and Tseng both for information regarding JENOVA's location, but neither of them revealed any information. •PERSONALITY ☆ Elena likes to think of herself as very tough, impartial, and impersonal. And when she's on the job, she can be. In her off time, she has a very wide range that depends more on what's going on around her and who is nearby than anything else. When she is surrounded by strangers, she is aloof, standoffish, and appears to be somewhat high-strung. Despite trying to present herself as unapproachable, when another person initiates breaking the ice, she will usually join into the conversation as long as it doesn't become too personal too quickly. When in the company of those she trusts, she is still high-strung, but far more approachable. Once she decides that someone is 'worth' her trust, she will put her heart and soul into supporting them, sometimes to the extent that it becomes damaging to herself. She is dependable, and loyal to a fault to those who have gained her trust, but good luck getting it. She is a very driven individual, and when she sets her mind to doing something, it would take a major cataclysmic event to stop her. She adheres very tightly to structures and rules, and it can shake her foundations when the 'unwritten rules of the universe' are compromised. For friends, she is kind and caring, sympathetic and warm. She switches that off for strangers, though. •POWERS/ABILITIES ☆ Materia - Elena is capable of wielding materia. She always has equipped: Ice, All, and Cure (master). Turk Training - Elena is a trained assassin for the Turks Department. Though largely that means being a jack-of-all-trades, the Turk Training specializes in bomb-construction, hand-to-hand combat, firearms, espionage, infiltration, catburglary, and computer hacking. Sniper Training - A subset of her Turk Training, Elena's specialization is in long-range firearms. Though she prefers a ShinRa TAC-75 Long-Range Sniper Rifle, she is highly accurate with almost any gun she lays her hand on. Alert - Elena is constantly aware of her environment, scanning it for dangerous situations and enemies, and will probably be the first to notice that something is wrong in a given area or situation. She also has escape routes mapped in her head for any area she is in. Facial Memory - One good look at a face, and Elena can memorize it clearly enough to give a description detailed enough for a sketch artist to make an accurate drawing. Bone-Setter - Elena can set broken bones on other people. Unfortunately, since she usually always uses materia immediately after setting a bone, this doesn't translate to any -other- basic first aid abilities. Cool Exterior - Elena can usually mask what she's feeling and thinking well enough that it takes someone very observant to figure out what's going on with her. Of course, the down side of this is that she either comes off as arrogant, or it being obvious enough that she's hiding -something- even if what exactly that 'something' is is hidden. | ||

![]() Imagine waking up from seems to be a sudden blackout, coming back around to what you assume is likely a hospital, or your own home, perhaps. Everything seems the same, everything looks, smells, sounds the same.. until you actually get up and look around. Until your eyes actually focus. Until you realize there is a very gentle, subtle rocking movement. Imagine realizing that are being watched, that you are being tracked, that whatever this place really is, someone, or something, is in control of all of it. You walk outside, there's a massive deck, other people waking up, walking around, perhaps some of them enemies to one another. Go ahead, fight, even kill. You will wake up again in your bed, over and over. There is no way out, and no way off the gigantic ship that silently cruises this strange sea. No crew, things are simply laid out for you, food, clothes, all is there, provided by unseen benefactors, every single night. The Kitchen is always restocked, the electric and heat always on and available. Someone shouts to look at the sky, and all out on the deck do so. There, there is a city... can your eyes really be seeing this?! The city ... floats. And then is gone. A mirage? Most Orwellian.. perhaps the most disturbing.. of all.. in every room there is a monitor (ever been to Vegas and had the hotel channel on?). This monitor is on 24/7, and will occasionally announce warnings, coming events, advice. Do they hear, through this device as well? What all do they SEE? What all do they KNOW? No one knows.....but it does SEEM that the devices are picking up sound AND sight, from all rooms. No one can switch any of them off, and so privacy is at a minimum. Try to throw your jacket over the black screen and it will dissolve, literally disentegrate. Many will be the attempts to circumvent this constant spy in the rooms. Look at your roommates... friends, foes, unknowns? You will be three to a cabin here, and pray for luck in the arrangements. Someone in one of the Universes is bored. |
Anyone who's seen the Labyrinth can tell you how the movie ends. Sarah monologues Jareth to death, he loses his powers, turns into an owl, Sarah and friends party. However, this does not mean the Labyrinth itself has ended. Oh no, not by a long shot. Those goblins are Still capturing people left, right and centre in the hopes that someday their brave, gallant, (wait are we still talking about Jareth here?) leader will some day return and make everything right for them. However, now there is no goblin King to be picky and choose whom will and will not enter the labyrinth. Now, there are just goblins listening out for those ever magic words "..." "..." Well, ok any words that involve someone disappearing. After all, they're not all really that bright are they? This, unfortunately (or perhaps fortunately, who knows?) is where your character enters. Whoever they have upset, those words were spoken at the precise moments the goblins were listening in. They have been brought to that magical, wonderous place, The Labyrinth, where anything seems possible, and nothing is what it seems. All characters entering upon the labyrinth enter with no real powers to call their own. On occasion the Labyrinth does bestow gifts upon certain "worthy" persons, but when those gifts are bestowed and how, and why, are anyones guess. Weapons, may be carried, however, be forwarned, try weilding them, and the powers that are the labyrinth will vanish them into the depths of eternal darkness, or perhaps to a place that will be found someday, who knows? It might feel generous one day. Then again... it might not. A word of warning to all who enter the labyrinths walls, running into yourself or even an older or younger version of yourself, is almost to be expected. The labyrinth itself seems to be a living being and has no problems with accepting people from various universes, in fact, the more chaos it can create, the better it feels. Some days it may be kind, delivering treats and rewards to all sorts of people, perhaps a new pet, or a bunch of flowers, or being able to read minds for a set period of time. Then again, some days it is crueler, for a cruel lord once dwelled within it, on those days one may find oneself forced to speak the truth for a set period of time, or transformed into something inconcievable, or.. on rare occasions, it may not change you at all, merely how other people see you. Of course, sometimes, what seems to be a blessing can be a curse, or vice versa. Yes, mind reading might be one of the powers bestowed upon your character, and that might seem a wonderful thing. Until you realise just how pointless some of the thoughts that run through an average persons mind can be... and just how loud some people think. Although, it almost goes without saying, these are not the only rewards and/or punishments the labyrinth can dream up, but the rest, well, it would hardly be fair to let you see all. What's that you say? It's not fair Not to tell you? Well, I wonder what your basis for comparison is. No matter, the labyrinth will decide what is fair and what is not... you are all merely here for the ride. |
The Advent...ONE YEAR LATER. Post Advent Children, with one little almost not worth mentioning change - at the point that Sephiroth holds Cloud aloft, he ...wins. He pwns, and he pwns them all. Cloud lives, having decided that he'd really like to keep staying alive, and resistance seems pretty futile... the Remnants live ....they all live, and now it's a bit different on Gaia. Better. Stronger. Rufus? He's locked away, of course. The Turks are being allowed to exist as long as they serve the new Master... and he does not suffer treachery well. The Chosen, the First Son, has immense powers in this world now -- Jenova's dark promise has been unlocked, and it's all for you, Sephiroth. Cloud: Pet, pretty much, Pretty, Pretty Puppet. Genesis and Angeal: Expect them back. Soon, doesn't matter how, really, the Man has the Power. Zack: Sephiroth would like this one returned to him, even with the currently plotted attack on Aerith's Realm. Aerith: She's got to be getting nervous... The three Remnants: Sephiroth doesn't really need them now, but he has freed Kadaj from himself, and ...will allow them to live, as Vassals and Servants. Tifa: Likely, not pleased, but allowed to keep the plebes happy and drunk with the 7th. Vincent Valentine: No one knows... perhaps plotting/leading a Rebellion, somewhere...and here, Sephiroth is his son. |
